Middle-Easter Lamb Chili
Ingredients:
1 lb minced lamb
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground clove
1/2 tsp ginger (fresh or ground)
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp curry
1 tsp salt
1 can diced tomatoes
1/2 cup dried apricots – chopped
2 chopped sweet potatotes
1 onion – chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup red lentils
2 – 3 cups beef broth
dash of hot sauce to taste
1 tbsp honey
1 can chick peas
1 tsp fresh ground coriander seeds
Method
Combine and cover the mnced lamb and spices and let sit overnight or for for several hours in the fridge. Saute the onion in olive oil and add minded lamb. Cook until no more pink shows. Add the other ingredients and bring to a boild. Let it simmer for 1 1/2 hours or so. Then EAT!!!
